Are you at the verge of giving up, please consider the following before you throw in the towel :
1. Have you truly given that matter your best? Prayed your best? Written your best? Worked your best? Given your best?
2. Are you certain your situation is the worst in the whole world? If you are certain, then you can truly give up. Your current situation is someone’s prayer point.
3. Are there lessons you must learn through that situation before you are promoted to the next phase? Have you learnt them all? Remember that promotion comes only after passing the exams.
4. Do you know that it is darkest most just before dawn? You might just be at the edge of your dawn. If you hold on a bit longer, the trouble will pass because it always does.
5. If you are wishing to have another life, how sure are you that there won’t be challenges in the new life, possibly greater than the ones you are facing now? The only people who are free from troubles are the dead.
6. Have you sought for help? From God first and then from men. Sometimes we carry burdens that don’t belong to us.
7. Do you know that the size of your problem is an indication of the weight of your glory? You might be carrying a great destiny, just so you know.
Reflect on these questions before you throw in the towel.
God bless us all.
Good morning!

Your Good Works Count
We often ask ourselves if it is worthwhile to continue doing some good works when nobody seems to be noticing or appreciative. We are tempted to give it up and just stay on our own. This is common to everyone putting in his best effort.
Don’t be discouraged. Your good works will be rewarded. Posterity will reward you. Heaven will reward you. You and your generations born and unborn will benefit from the rewards of your good works. Don’t stop doing good.
When we stop doing good, we allow evil to thrive and those who would have been saved by our good works may decide to tow the evil path. Our good works help to keep evil works at bay. It is therefore to our own benefit not to stop doing good.
Your impact may be small and insignificant, but the combination of our impacts together makes a formidable opposition to evil works. Let us continue in doing good, for in due season, we will reap, if we faint not. Gal. 6:9
God bless us all.
Good morning!
There is a Limit
Yes, officially it has been declared that Nigeria is in recession. Yes times are hard. But you know what, your life doesn’t have to be in recession. Your times do not have to necessarily follow general time. You can make it despite the economic downturn. Your personal economy can take an upward turn against the tide of times.
First, don’t join the bandwagon to sing the song of depression. Look out for opportunities around you. There are needs you can still meet and make money. Challenging times come with many unique opportunities, so identify the ones you can seize.
Also, there is a limit to every negative wind. No matter how high the sea tide is, when the tide rises and moves the waves towards the shore, it always stops at the set limit. It doesn’t go beyond the set limit. Listen, it is not the sea shore or human embankment that holds the sea waves back, it is a divine order. That same divine order has been placed on this recession, it will not pass its limits.
In your personal life, those challenges will not pass their limits. They won’t kill you. You will outlive them. No matter how hot the sun maybe during the day, it will always give way for the moon and stars at night, your challenges will give way for your glory to shine.
Fear not, there is a limit to those overwhelming flood of challenges.
God bless us all.
Good morning!
Break-Out for a Breakthrough
As I said in one of my previous posts, a new You is required for every new level you desire. As you move higher in life, life will demand from you in terms of skills, time, resources, experience, substance and strength of mind. You therefore need to constantly expand your frontiers to keep moving ahead.
We all seek and sometimes pray for breakthrough without the willingness to break out of our present mold. You need a breakout to experience a breakthrough. Any breakthrough without a breakout will eventually lead to a breakdown.
What is a breakout? A breakout is a deliberate positive shift from previously held belief, opinion, mindset, skills set, knowledge, circle of contacts, habits, and comfort zones. It is an advancement to a higher level of reasoning.
Until you are ready for a break out, you do not truly deserve a breakthrough. Your first step towards breakthrough is to begin to examine yourself with a view to improving yourself.
Many of the disasters we see in leadership at corporate and national level are because most of the leaders never experienced breakouts before they got their breakthroughs.
Don’t be a victim of breakdown after breakthrough. Break out now.
God bless us all.
Good morning!
Glory in Death
Death is an event we all try to avoid yet it is an inescapable eventuality. It is one of the few processes that is almost totally out of human control. Sometimes it can be delayed with medical interventions or technologies, but that is it, it can only be delayed not denied.
It is a debt owed by everyone regardless of status, color, race, or religion. The Great dies, the not so great dies, and the lowly too dies. What differentiate each category is usually the burial ceremony. Some spend tonnes of money and even build resting places for the remains of the departed. For some who can’t even afford the luxury of a coffin, pieces of wood are put together to house the remains.
Regardless of the kind of treatment given to the dead, it has no connection with how the dead will be remembered or what the dead will be remembered for. What determines the Glory of the dead is his work while alive. Rich men have been buried richly but remembered poorly or richly. Poor men have also been buried poorly and remembered richly or poorly.
The point is there is a Glory in death that makes one’s works to speak as though he is still alive. You labour for that Glory while alive, not in death.
If you check your works now, can it give you any glory in death? Whose lives are you touching that will sing your glory long after you are gone like Dorcas in the Bible, Mahatma Ghandi, Gani Fawehinmi, Nelson Mandela, Muhammad Ali and a host of others.
Pause and check your life today, what kind of report are you writing with your life?
God bless us all.
Good morning!
Keep Your Mind
It is what happens in you and not what happens to you that determines how far you will go in life. Your attitude to both positive and negative situations must be SPONGY. You must be able to soak in a lot as sponge soaks water, especially so during this period of economic recession.
What does SPONGY represent?
S – Serenity of mind and purpose. Maintain your peace and calmness. You can’t think straight when anxious or angry. Absorb the information, separate the facts and decide on the facts.
P – Perseverance of spirit, mind and body. Train your mind to be resilient. Build your body for marathons and not short dashes. Lasting successes usually come in marathons. Toughness of mind comes from a diehard spirit.
O – Organization of plans and actions. You must sharpen your prioritisation skills so that you know which actions to take first when several things are calling for your attention.
N – Naturalness of personality. The worst harm you can do to yourself is to try to change who you are because of people’s criticisms or successes of others. Pick the truths in criticisms, but adapt them to your natural self.
G – Goal getting attitude. You can’t get a goal you have not set. So set goals. Apply SMART tools to your goals. Even if you fail at achieving the goals, keep trying until you succeed. Your mind must be resolute at achieving your goals.
Y – Youthful zest. You often need the zest of a youth to handle increasingly complex situations. You need to maintain a high energy level always. Avoid energy drainers. They could places, jobs, or people. Never let anyone toy with your energy level. Have a bright spirit and always smile.
God bless us all.

We live in the social media age and we are daily deluged with posts via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and what have you. Some of these posts are interesting such that we want to share them with our own circle of friends or followers. This is where most of us have been getting it wrong.
There is a law called Copyright law. When someone creates any work and files for copyright, once the copyright is granted, the work becomes his or her personal property and cannot be used by any other person without express permission from the copyright owner or without acknowledging the original owner. Anyone who uses another person’s copyright without permission or due acknowledgement is committing plagiarism and this is illegal.
Now back to you, anytime you are to share someone’s work through copy and paste or in any other forms, ensure you acknowledge the original owner. Don’t take credit for another person’s work, doing so is like stealing what doesn’t belong to you. Whether it is a literary work or some other works, always give credit to the original owner.
Don’t be found guilty of plagiarism and run foul of the law.
God bless us all.
Good morning!
