The Power of Dream

Joseph had two dreams at age seventeen, and after sharing the dreams with his parents and brothers, his life took a tragic turn. The favoured son with coats of many colors was sold into slavery and from slavery to Prison.

Somehow he knew he was destined to be a leader so even while in Potiphar’s house, he composed himself so well that it didn’t take long for Potiphar to commit his entire household to his hands. No matter what life has thrown at you, or no matter how low it appears you have sunken, never take your eyes off your dream and never change who you are for any reason.
Again, he soon became the favorite in Potiphar’s house such that everyone except his master and the master’s wife had to take instruction from him. Do you always find yourself in certain places and positions even in your seemingly lowly estate, those places are positions are pointers to your destiny.
Then came the great temptation, to either settle down and take the master’s wife or resist and lose favour. He resisted and found himself in prison. Bur even prison could not change his destined leadership position, for he became the trusted hand by the warden. No force can stop your destiny from being fulfilled as long as you don’t change who you are. As a matter of fact, you are the only one who can change God’s plan for your life.
While in prison, his opportunity came in disguise when he saw the countenance of the baker and butler. He could have ignored their countenance and kept to  himself knowing he was unjustly imprisoned. But he never lost his cheerfulness and desire to help others, he reached out and asked what was wrong. Don’t become morose and uncaring because of your problems. Your destiny lies in helping others. The path to fulfilment of destiny is the path of service, keep serving.
He interpreted their dreams and he was forgotten for two years. He didn’t start cursing the Chief Butler for not remembering him. He kept doing his job. When the appointed time came, he was remembered. He was remembered because his throne was ready. Don’t jump ahead of God. Don’t jump for a stool when He is preparing a throne for you.
Please understand this, no power on earth can stop God’s dream for your life except you yourself. So ensure that you are not working against your dream, and don’t bury your dream, keep it clear, written and constantly placed before you. Hab. 2:2-3. You will get there!
God bless us all.

Riches Don’t Last Forever

Seasons come and go. Summer, Winter, Spring, Autumn, they all have their times and seasons, none is permanent. Riches also have seasons. There are times you do less and you earn a lot, and vice versa. Sometimes we get carried away and assume it is our prowess or skills that is responsible for our wealth, yes it could be, but not always.
When it is your season and you step into the season, everything will work in your favour. When your season is over, you can only enjoy as much as you have set aside during your rainy season. ‘For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.’  – Proverbs 23:5b, 27:24. This means you cannot afford to eat with your ten fingers if you don’t want to become history.
In every wealth you make, there is the seed portion and there is the bread portion. Don’t eat your seed with your bread. Your seed is what determines your continuity of harvest. Stop spending as if you have access to the vault of Central Bank!  Even if you have access, the vault may be changed.
Invest on assets and less on consumptions. Consumptions empty your purse, assets multiply your income generating capacity.  Stop assuming the income will keep flowing like that for life, even rivers change course over time. Save, invest, buy assets that appreciate over time. Vehicles are liabilities, they start depreciating from day of purchase. Land and properties will always appreciate. Gold will always appreciate. Invest in lives too. Sometimes what will save you is the destinies you have helped.
Be wise, for riches make themselves wings and fly to heaven, where they came from.
God bless us all.
Good morning!

Motivating Factor Determines Success

The common assumption about business is that it is setup primarily for profit making. This perhaps is one of the reasons businesses don’t outlive their founders. Once you make profit making your sole aim in business, a lot of things will suffer which eventually will erode your ability to make profit.
Great businesses are founded on the philosophy of solving a need or filling a gap in the market. How best you meet the perceived and existing need relatively to other businesses meeting same need, is what determines your success in business. Profits travel along with problem solvers. Whether individuals or businesses, when you always seek to meet a need, you will make profit in the process.
It is therefore important to review your underlying business philosophy, if you are already in business,  if you are just about starting, then you must define it right.
Beyond identifying and meeting a need, you must be able to provide answers to the following questions :

I.  What unique strengths do I/we have to meet this need? It could be your human resource capacity, or technological skill, or location advantage. You must maximise your strengths to the disadvantage of existing competitors and new entrants.

II. What are my weaknesses that competitors can take advantage of in the chosen market? It could be your business size, poor distribution network, and so on. You must find a way of mitigating the identified weaknesses.

III. What are the peculiar opportunities and threats in your chosen market, political, environmental, social and technological? How do you leverage on the opportunities and deal with the threats?
When you are motivated by the need to meet a need and then build a business model around that motivation bearing in mind the questions above, your chances of success is very high. Also, you must regularly review your answers to the questions to ascertain your relevance.
Get your business philosophy right and you are bound to be successful.

God bless us all.

Dare to be Different

In a world where conformity seems to be the order, where joining them if you can’t beat them has become the norm, non-conformers and men of integrity are becoming rarer by the day. Truth is becoming an endangered virtue. Our values have been mortgaged on the altar of ‘get rich quick’ syndromes.
In the midst of all these, God is still looking out for those who will dare to be different, who will confront and challenge the corrupt system, who will continue to speak the truth no matter whose ox will be gored. He is searching to and fro the earth to find those on behalf of whom He will show Himself strong.
You don’t have to conform. Don’t be afraid of being a lone voice, heaven is backing you up. Don’t give in to the pressure of joining the corrupt system, both time and eternity will reward your steadfastness. The riches and wealth the world is pursuing in a wrong way,  are being reserved to be transferred to you if you stand fast.
Three things will speak for everyone of us, whether we are conformers or non-conformers. One, our works will speak for us, our works will either bless us or bring curses on us. Two, our names which are founded on our works will continue to speak for us long after we are gone. Three, cloud of witnesses in heaven will speak for us, either in praise or condemnation.

So while you are at that work, ponder on these three things and dare to be different.
God bless us all.

From the ‘Step Out of the Confines of Comfort’ Seminar (2)

Another lesson from the seminar is the need to stop paying attention to people’s opinion, especially when it has to do with your vision. If you are the type who always wants to get people’s approval on anything you do, you are likely to remain confined in your comfort zone.
You must adopt the Eagle’s Mentality. Eagles fly alone, they don’t fly with other birds. You must fly with people with similar dream or vision. You can’t go far if you keep sparrows and other birds around you. Fly with eagles.
Eagles also fly to high altitudes, which enables them to see far. When they set their sight on a prey, they focus intensely on the prey until they catch it. You must be able to separate yourself from the crowd and distractions from time to time in order to sharpen your focus.
People will want you to conform and stay within your confines, (the things or positions they have known you with), if you don’t adopt the Eagle’s Mentality, you will constantly be dragged back.
God bless us all.

From the ‘Step Out Of The Confines Of Comfort’  Seminar

The much talked about ‘Step Out of the Confines of Comfort’ seminar took place on Saturday 22nd and it was an eye opener. We had a wonderful time this last Saturday as we learnt on the need to push for more, ask questions and dare our fears.
One of the lessons we shared was about  the lives of soldiers. Their lives are spent mostly in the barracks, training fields or battlefields. Among these three places, the place where things really happen is on the battle field. This is where they possess new territories and gain new grounds. They are at their best on the battlefield. Their sense of alertness is hypersensitive on the battlefield, because it is a matter of life and death, survive or die, win or lose, on the battlefield.

Meanwhile in the barracks, the same toughminded fighters on the battlefield become soft, jocular, backslapping and even careless, sometimes sleeping without any care for external aggression.
Your Confines Of Comfort are like the barracks. You are relaxed and your guards are down within your Confines of Comfort. You don’t think beyond the four walls of your world (the box). Unfortunately, until you step out of that box, you can’t win new frontiers or make new discoveries. You can’t see beyond your world as long as you remain confined to your world.
This is why you must never settle within your Confines Of Comfort. You must keep moving. You must keep breaking new grounds and possessing new territories.
This is especially moreso for the black race, we have become used to waiting for the white race to produce everything for us. We are comfortable using our hard earned local currencies to purchase foreign currencies to pay for the produce of the western world, mostly produced with materials obtained from our backyards! So saddening and painful! Our generation must not recycle this same mentality, we must be the game changer.
It is time to get out of the rut of Comfort and take our place in destiny. It is time for you to produce your product. It is discovery time!
God bless us all.
Good morning!

The D-Day is Here!

We are breaking out of all limitations and pleasures that have been holding us back.
We are pressing into new frontiers. We are breaking barriers and raising bars.
It is happening today at the ‘Step Out of the Confines of Comfort’ seminar.
See you at the venue by 10am. Gatecrashers will receive mercy.
God bless us all.
Good morning!

Door Openers (3)

Integrity plus skilfulness will take you to the upper class of the best of the best. However from experience, people hardly develop skills in what they don’t have passion for. This is where the third door opener comes in.

3. Passion is a necessary ingredient for attracting positive recommendations. See a man diligent in his business, he will stand before Kings and not before mean men. Proverbs 22:29. You can’t be diligent at what you don’t like, it is just not possible. You will find it boring, burdensome and dreary. It is thus important that you do what you love. When you do what you love, your work ceases to be a job and becomes an art. All over the world, men seek for people with integrity, skilfulness and passion. Your passion for it drives you to seek for excellence, which is the fourth point.
4. Excellence is a state of flawlessness. When you score 100% in an exam you will be graded as excellent. You can become excellent at what you do when it is what you are passionate about. When you make excellence your hallmark in what you do, you will necessarily attract positive attention. Doors will begin to open to you of their own accord.
Be a man of integrity. Become skilful at what you do. Do what brings out passion in you. Make excellence your hallmark.
As you do this, doors will begin to open for you.
God bless us all.
Good morning!

Door Openers (2)

We discussed integrity yesterday and I need to add this. Integrity speaks across borders, races and languages. It is also often given priority above skills or qualifications. Skills can be transferred to you, but not integrity, it is a product of your thought patterns, values and choices. This is why sometimes less skilful person but with integrity is chosen among more qualified candidates.
2. Another door opener is your skill. Your ability to do something better than others is a great door opener. Why do organizations headhunt as against just throwing vacancies in the open? They do so because they want to choose among the skilled ones. You must therefore sharpen and hone your skills. Be the best at what you do. Don’t settle for average. Average is the greatest enemy of success. It keeps you below your potentials. Learn more about what you do. Study. Ask questions. Read.
“If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as a Michaelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, ‘Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.” ― Martin Luther King Jr.

Be so good at what you do such that when a need for your skill arises anywhere, you will be the preferred.
When you are dexterous and also have integrity, you have taken yourself beyond the crowds and risen to the class of champions, which is usually less than  5% of the entire population. Where would you rather belong?
God bless us all.
Good morning!
See you this Saturday at the ‘Step Out of the Confines of Comfort’ seminar. 👍

Door Openers (1)

Until the door to a room is opened you cannot access the contents of the room, unless you break in. Sometimes we go shopping in malls and find some shops closed, maybe for the day or for some reasons. At such times, though we can see the contents of the shop through the glass, we can’t buy because the door is locked.
Likewise in life, we often have what it takes for some positions or jobs or appointments but we don’t get them because the door has not been opened to us. No matter how hard you struggle, if the door is not opened you can’t get it. It is therefore important that we know the factors that can trigger a door to open. This will be the focus of our discussion in this series.
1. Integrity: One of the rarest attributes in our world today is integrity. It is this rarity that is largely responsible for failure of leaderships. Integrity is the quality of being honest and fair, or a  state of completeness or wholeness. Integrity is also doing what is right whether you are being watched or not. Another word for integrity is honesty. It is a state of honesty of actions, intentions and words. Being true to your actions, intentions and words. In the race for wealth, many people have thrown away this rare and precious  attribute.
When people are being sought to occupy a position, integrity is one of the key attributes looked out for in the candidates for such positions. And integrity is not just something you own, it is something also perceived by others. You own it, but it is perceived by others. It is those who have perceived this in you that will recommend you for such positions. It may be positions you ordinarily would not have had access to or be aware of, but your integrity will make someone recommend you for the position.
Integrity still opens doors and will keep opening doors, so you need to guard it if you still have it, or start repairing it if yours has been damaged.
God bless us all.
Good morning!
