We all have motivating factor(s) driving us and making us to leave the comfort of our beds every new morning. For some it is money, for some it is power, fame for some people, success for some and passion for some.
What drives a man will determine how far he will go. For instance, all things being equal, a vehicle with a full tank of fuel will travel farther than a motorcycle with a full tank of fuel. They can both convey from one place to the other, but with different capacity. One can go further than the other.
The same principle applies to our lives. The factor driving you will determine how far you will go in life. If it is money, you will likely get tired when the money is no longer flowing. If it is fame, when your fame goes down, you will likely give up. If it is power, when power changes hand you will go into hiding. If it is a relationship with someone, what happens if you lose the person?
The only driver that is guaranteed of driving one till death is Purpose. If you are being driven by purpose, your ‘well of passion’ will be continually full. Whether strong or weak, rich or poor, you will always want to pursue your purpose. This is why living ‘by and for’ purpose is extremely important.
Don’t live an ordinary life, pursuing money, wealth, fame and material things. Live a purposeful life and all these other things will be added unto you.
God bless us all.

Mentalities that Destroy (5)
I trust that we have been learning from this series. Some of us may have been operating with these mentalities ignorantly, and it may be the reason we haven’t experienced the success we desire. As we begin to apply these lessons, I am sure that positive results will start coming.
We are not done with this series yet, there is another mentality called the Complex Mentality. It works in two variants, Inferiority Complex and Superiority Complex. Both variants are toxic and affect people negatively.
Inferiority Complex is a belief that one is less worthy than others. It makes the person to either be extremely timid (lacking in self confidence) or overly aggressive (as a cover up for their sense of low worthiness). Such people are usually very quiet in a meeting or group, not because they are humble but because they feel their contribution may not make sense to others. Or they may challenge every other suggestion because they feel unnecessarily intimidated by the presence of the other contributors. They could be a real pain in the neck.
Superiority Complex is the other extreme, having a sense of more importance than others and looking down on others. It leads to pride, pomposity and inflated ego. It is as bad as inferiority complex, if not worse, because such people are usually unreachable.
Whichever one is the case, the way out is a moderate sense of self importance and appreciation of the value of every other person, regardless of their class, status, religion or creed. Everyone has a value, even the mad man on the street has some values. We must be humble enough to see the value in everyone.
Don’t think too highly of yourself and don’t think too lowly of yourself. You are uniquely created, so is every other person. When we bring our different uniqueness together, we become a formidable force. Get rid of that complex today.
God bless us all.
Good morning!
War Precedes Peace
More often than not, for you to enjoy peace, you must wrestle or battle against several factors, both physical and spiritual. You have to contend with both internal and external forces, like fear, procrastination, discouragement, criticism, competitions, lack of resources and so on.
Having a mindset that is prepared for all these is therefore important if you will ever win in life. Whenever you set out to achieve anything, make up your mind to overcome every challenge you will encounter. This is called the Winning Mentality. You have got to have it, otherwise you will always give up easily.
You will have to sustain the mentality throughout your lifetime because if you are moving forward, you will keep setting higher goals, so the cycle keeps repeating itself. So get the winning mentality by all means.
God bless us all.

The Debts You Owe (2)
We started this series with the debt of being true to yourself last week and this is very important if you are to fully live out your potentials.
Another debt you owe is the Debt of Purpose. Hear this friends, no matter how ugly or bad the circumstances surrounding your birth may be, you are not an accident. You may be a product of birth outside wedlock, or even rape, or you were abandoned at birth, whatever your case may be, you are sent by God to planet Earth for a purpose. You are on errand, and you owe your creator and humanity the debt of finishing the errand.
Your purpose is the reason you are created, finding it is your responsibility, and fulfilling it is your calling. If you fail in finding and fulfilling your purpose, your mission on earth would have been a wasted effort. It would amount to a waste of heaven’s investments in you.
If you have not been conscious of this debt, this is an urgent reminder. You owe the world the debt of purpose.
God bless us all.
Good morning and Barka De Sallah to our Muslim brothers and sisters!
Glory in Death
Death is an event we all try to avoid yet it is an inescapable eventuality. It is one of the few processes that is almost totally out of human control. Sometimes it can be delayed with medical interventions or technologies, but that is it, it can only be delayed not denied.
It is a debt owed by everyone regardless of status, color, race, or religion. The Great dies, the not so great dies, and the lowly too dies. What differentiate each category is usually the burial ceremony. Some spend tonnes of money and even build resting places for the remains of the departed. For some who can’t even afford the luxury of a coffin, pieces of wood are put together to house the remains.
Regardless of the kind of treatment given to the dead, it has no connection with how the dead will be remembered or what the dead will be remembered for. What determines the Glory of the dead is his work while alive. Rich men have been buried richly but remembered poorly or richly. Poor men have also been buried poorly and remembered richly or poorly.
The point is there is a Glory in death that makes one’s works to speak as though he is still alive. You labour for that Glory while alive, not in death.
If you check your works now, can it give you any glory in death? Whose lives are you touching that will sing your glory long after you are gone like Dorcas in the Bible, Mahatma Ghandi, Gani Fawehinmi, Nelson Mandela, Muhammad Ali and a host of others.
Pause and check your life today, what kind of report are you writing with your life?
God bless us all.
Good morning!

Copy it Right
We live in the social media age and we are daily deluged with posts via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and what have you. Some of these posts are interesting such that we want to share them with our own circle of friends or followers. This is where most of us have been getting it wrong.
There is a law called Copyright law. When someone creates any work and files for copyright, once the copyright is granted, the work becomes his or her personal property and cannot be used by any other person without express permission from the copyright owner or without acknowledging the original owner. Anyone who uses another person’s copyright without permission or due acknowledgement is committing plagiarism and this is illegal.
Now back to you, anytime you are to share someone’s work through copy and paste or in any other forms, ensure you acknowledge the original owner. Don’t take credit for another person’s work, doing so is like stealing what doesn’t belong to you. Whether it is a literary work or some other works, always give credit to the original owner.
Don’t be found guilty of plagiarism and run foul of the law.
God bless us all.

The ‘You’ Factor
No matter what has been written concerning you or what people are saying or have said concerning you, you are the only one that can determine if all those things would be proved right or wrong. Even God cannot do anything for you without your cooperation. This is why the ‘You’ factor is very important.
You must work on yourself. Build up yourself emotionally, spiritually, physically and financially. No matter your background, whether rich or poor, if the ‘You’ factor is poor, you can’t get far in life.
If there is anything you must pay greater attention to after God, it is your self development. Everyone gives what each has. You cannot give what you don’t have. “Nemo dat quod non habet.” Equipping yourself for whatever dream or vision you have is your best investment.
As a matter of fact, it is out of the abundance of what you have that you can give to others. Get it well, I am not saying you must be rich before you can help others. I am saying you can’t help others if you haven’t helped yourself.
When you have loaded yourself well, it doesn’t matter what life throws at you, they become building materials for your destiny. Read. Study. Learn. Work hard. Plan. Prepare. Pray. Seek counsel. Do all that is right to ensure the ‘You’ factor is rich, because at the end of the day, ‘You’ will be responsible for your life.
God bless us all.
Good morning!
You Are Special
There is a way life throws so much mud at someone and the person becomes totally unrecognizable. If you come across someone who is just being pulled out of a deep slimy mud, until the person takes a deep wash of himself, you may not be able to recognise him. His voice may be the only thing you will recognize.
We sometimes lose our identity as a result of the challenges of life. We sometimes get to a point where we believe there is nothing of value left in us. This is nothing but a lie and a fallacious conclusion. If you clean yourself up, there is a lot of value loaded in you.
Has life thrown you deep down and you are feeling worthless? Have you made several mistakes and you feel you have gone too far to start again? Have you been written off by everybody?
Dust yourself up. Wash yourself if you have to. Scrub yourself. Purge yourself. Begin again. You are not worthless. You are valuable, unique and special.
Stop the lies and face life again.
God bless us all.
Good morning!
Relating With Your Enemies (2)
There is an enemy and there is the enemy. Yesterday, we started this series by looking at ‘who is an enemy?’. We want to proceed further to discuss on ‘who is the enemy?’. Without any disregard or disrespect for non-Christians, I will be making references to the Bible to underscore my points.
As we discussed yesterday ‘An enemy is someone who hates, attacks, persecutes unjustly, antagonises, or works wilfully against the progress of another.’ An enemy is however different from ‘the enemy’. The enemy is the real enemy and is the Devil, Lucifer, Satan, or whichever name you call him. The devil is the one actually planting the seed of hatred and wickedness in the hearts of those you perceive as your enemies.
The devil has his own Kingdom, his own angels (demons), his minions in forms of principalities, powers, territorial spirits. He deploys all these agents all over the world to set the children of God against one another. This is why the Bible says in Ephesians 6:12 that ‘For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.’
Hence, when you are praying against your enemies, your targets are not the physical people but the spirits operating in and through them. It is those spirits that require binding. Spirits don’t die, but can be bound, rebuked or cast out. The good news is that we have been given authority to rebuke, bind or cast them out.
It is important we fully digest this point because your enemy today may be your channel of blessing tomorrow, so if you focus your defence or counter attack on him or her as a person and not the wicked spirits working through him, you may lose a destiny helper. There was a Mary in the Bible out of whom Jesus cast out seven demons, yet the same Mary was among those who ministered to Jesus before and after his death.
This leads us to understanding that your enemies need help, because they are either willing or unwilling tools in the hands of the devil. Now someone may be wondering why the devil should be held responsible for the wicked acts of men. Truly, we are all agents of choice, but our ability to choose right or wrong depends on whose spirits we carry, God’s or the devil’s spirit. When people choose to act wrongly, it is because there is a spirit behind their action. Don’t forget that the spiritual rules the physical. That is why your dreams at night turn to reality in the day.
Having identified the real enemy, we will proceed further tomorrow to discuss the different types of enemies. May God breath on this lesson and expand our understanding.
God bless us all.
Good morning!
