It is Not Over Until It is Over

Remembering the last Europa Cup final between Liverpool FC and Sevilla, it further reinforces my believe that it is not yet over until it is truly over. Liverpool lead the game with a goal into the half time and they looked strong into the second half. But all of a sudden, Liverpool’s defence lost cohesion and Sevilla attackers saw the weakness and started pummeling them from all over the field. It didn’t take long for Sevilla to equalize and top it with two more goals ending the match on 3-1.

Lesson from this, Sevilla were down into the second half but they didn’t give up and they ended up winning the trophy. Friends, as you cross into the second half of the year, you may have lost a lot in the first half, but if you review your performance and improve on it, you will recover all. You will not only recover all, you will finish the year on a glorious note.

It is not over yet. Sit down. Reassess and reevaluate your plans, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities  and threats around you. Restrategize. Don’t just fold your arms to watch things unfold. Direct the flow of your life. Take charge of your life. Get out of any job or situation that makes you believe less in yourself. You need to believe in yourself and what God can use you to do, before you can overturn any negative tide.

You still have six months left in the year. Whether it is your personal goal or business goal, you can still make it. Take actions. Push forward. Don’t moan over your loss. Put the past behind and start with a fresh vigor and determination. Even if you have been written off, believe in yourself. “You may be the only person left who believes in you, but it’s enough. It takes just one star to pierce a universe of darkness. Never give up.” –  Richelle E. Goodrich.

God bless us all.
