Pursuit of Power.

There are many people in our corporate world and even at the national level that are hungry for power and will do everything to get to position of power yet without the essentials qualities and skills required to make a success of the position. This seems to be our bane as a nation.
Until we elevate altruism above self aggrandizement and selfish interest, Nigeria and the Nigerian businesses will continue to struggle and continue to record the dismal performance we have been having since the exit of the likes of Zik, Awolowo, and Tafawa Balewa.
Power is not good in itself. It is only good to the extent that the holder uses it to transform and impact as many people, communities, states and nations as possible. Stop power pursuit for selfish purpose, it will only destroy you.

Your present condition is a product of your thought pattern. If you like where you are now, then maintain your thinking pattern. if you don’t like it, then examine your thought pattern and change it. If you are constantly thinking negatively you cannot go far in life. Negative thoughts impact negatively on your ability to succeed in life. It is not just a cliché that as a man thinks so he is, it is both a statement of fact and the truth. Watch it!

Make your life as simple as possible.

The more titles and positions you acquire the more complex your life become.

The more gadgets you acquire, the more bills you pay and the more hustling you need

The more friends you have the more the interests you have to satisfy

The more you fill your wardrobe, the more you need to get matching accessories

The more money you acquire, the more you need to work to maintain your status

It is a futile and an endless race. Rat race indeed!

Simplify your life by seeking to impact people rather than control people

Pay less attention to mundane things, you cant have enough of them

Pay more attention to nature and appreciate the beauty of nature

Be as natural as possible. Just be yourself

Don’t belittle that position you have now, many want to be there

Appreciate God and His works

Enjoy every moment of your life

Sleep like a baby

Worry less

Smile more

Laugh more

Just live.

 

 

Success attracts a lot of people. More often than not, the wrong people. The sycophants, the manipulators, the usurpers, the opportunists, all manner of people are attracted to your life when you become successful. You therefore need to be careful who you confide in when you become successful. Pray that God will reveal the true intents of those around you. It is dangerous to choose new confidants when you are successful. Rather pick among your old circle of trusted friends. Build your team of confidants among those you trusted before you assume your new status. There are many wolves in sheep clothing out there. Don’t be carried away! Many are with you for what they can grab. Take heed.

No. God bestows success on those who crave for it. Yes, truly the race is not to the swift or the wise…, time and chance happen to them all. Time and chance only happen to the prepared.

Also, after reaching one level of success, you need to do twice as much to sustain the success. This is why success is hardwork and successful people keep working and working. So if you want success, get ready to pay the price.
