This past weekend, my boys and I decided to switch things up. I went for a much lower, cropped haircut, just to let some air into my head, knowing it would grow back in a month.
To my surprise, the new look made me appear almost ten years younger! When I showed up at the office on Monday, there were lots of “ohs” and “ahs,” with mixed reactions, some loved it, others thought I shouldn’t have cut it that low.
Reflecting on it, I realized how quickly people get used to seeing you a certain way, and how those expectations can box us in. Sometimes we get so stuck in the familiar that we miss opportunities for growth and transformation.
So here’s my challenge to you today: dare to step outside the norm. Try something different. You never know, your breakthrough might just be on the other side of that change.
