Up Close and Personal – 07052025

Life moves in seasons. Just as nature shifts through summer and winter, rainy and dry, spring and autumn, our personal lives also pass through distinct seasons.

There are times when, despite our best efforts, nothing seems to yield results. We begin to question ourselves, wondering what we might be doing wrong.
Then, there are other times when even minimal effort produces remarkable outcomes, and we appear as stars in the eyes of others.

Of course, this doesn’t mean we should downplay the importance of effort, as effort always precede results.

To remain at peace, you must be sensitive to the season you’re in at any given moment. Without this sensitivity, you might panic when you should remain calm, or relax when you ought to prepare.

This kind of discernment doesn’t come from mere observation. It’s the product of a mind attuned to the move of God; a mind that’s connected, a heart that has matured spiritually.

There were nights I would find myself awake at a specific hour. I’d pray and read the Scriptures. This continued for about two weeks. I couldn’t quite place why, but I knew something was ahead. So when it eventually unfolded, I didn’t panic because it had already been handled in the Spirit.

Please, don’t take your spiritual antenna lightly. It is your candle in the dark. “The spirit of a man is the candle of the Lord” (Proverbs 20:27), so keep your spirit sharp!

Cheers, and enjoy the rest of your day and week.
