Regarding the former, you had no say in your gender, race, tribe, family, or religion. You were born into your family, religion, or nation without any contribution from you.
It amazes me, then, that we discriminate based on gender, tribe, or religion when we could have been born into someone else’s family, tribe, or religion.
We stereotype and label certain tribes when it could just as easily have been us. We build unnecessary walls and barriers due to tribal or religious sentiments. Many wars have been sparked by tribal conflicts, and entire nations have been destroyed due to religious tensions.
The same color of blood flows in all our veins, yet we still consider some superior to others. And yet, at death, our bodies will undergo the same process of decomposition, regardless of color or background.
So, let us focus less on the physical attributes, religious beliefs, or tribal origins of others and more on the person within.
