
I took a study leave last week , and resumed work on Monday.
Nothing prepared me for the series of meetings, deadlines and correspondences that required my immediate attention. It was as though a week’s work was packed into that day.
I tried to maintain my cool all day, even though I felt anger inside for so many reasons.
I had many questions racing through my mind. I wondered why I always had to be at the center of all that and handle all the tough tasks.
Anyway, I left the office at 7:30pm, feeling thankful for its close proximity to my house. I had light dinner when I got home and went to bed around 9pm, which was unlike me.
The next morning, my wife inquired about the previous night, and I told her I was angry about some things.
By the time I was rounding up at work yesterday, it dawned on me that the issues that consumed me so much the previous day weren’t that bad. I focused on the negative and let it consume my thoughts.
So, here is the lesson, always take a chill pill and relax. Do not take it all in at once, try to make light of every stressful situation. I hope this helps someone out there.
